Barr. Emeke Onuegbu

The New Ag. Director-General, NCMM

Barr. Onuegbu Emeka Obiora was born in Apapa Lagos on August 16, 1958. He is a native of Adazi-elu in Anaocha L.G.A of Anambra State.

He graduated with a B.Sc (Hons) in Political and Administrative Studies, from University of Maiduguri, Nigeria.

He also obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree in 1992/93 from University of Lagos, Akoka Lagos and was called to Bar (BL) in 1995.

Barr. Onuegbu is a certified Advanced Personal and Human Resources Manager, and Member, Nigerian Institute of Management (Chattered).

He had a wide range of working experience in the private sector before he joined the service of NCMM in 1983.

He was at one time a Special Assistant to the Special Adviser to the President on Relations with the Civil Society.

He rose to the position of Director Admin/Supplies in November 2013 – a position he held till his appointment as the Acting Director General National Commission for Museums and Monuments, Nigeria on November 28, 2017.

Barr. Emeka Obiora Onuegbu has many publications to his credit. He is member and fellow of numerous organizations and bodies.

He has attended many seminars and workshops locally and internationally and has delivered a number of academic papers in his field of endeavour.

He is a devoted Christian and is married with children.
